I grew up travelling around with my 2 older brothers, my mother & father. My parents divorced when I was 8. My mother & I were very close. When she decided to move to Mount Carmel when I was thirteen, I went and stayed for almost five years. My mom & I were the only family each other had. It was the most difficult decision you can imagine when I decided to leave. I left in about February of 1992, soon after I turned 18.
I then went back to school to finish my general education and later went to college for about four years. In 1997, I became interested in law enforcement and volunteered with a police department for two years, and I volunteered for the probation department for one year. In 1999, I attended a police academy where I obtained my P.O.S.T. certification. Soon after completion of the academy, I accepted a position with a local police department where I am currently employed. During my employement, I have always been very proactive, ethical, and fair. I just wanted to be successful and not worry about the past.
Since the 1993 tragedy, I have always wanted to write a book. In late 2002, I decided to go forward with the book. As I began my research, I discovered shocking evidence about what really happened at Waco. Of course this issue is personal, but the actions of the ATF and FBI were contrary to everything I have been taught as a police officer. I could not overlook what happened. I had to take a stand for justice.
