My mother was born on September 13, 1943, in the small town of Roseau, Minnesota. She learned to work hard on a farm with six brothers and sisters.
After she finished college, she worked for the National Science Foundation, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She later resigned from the FBI to spend time with her family and raise her three children.
In 1975, my parents joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church. My parents later divorced and my mother never remarried.
In 1987, my mother attended a religious conference in California where she met David Korsh. She later moved to Texas and joined the Branch Davidian Church.
My mother had the life she wanted at Mount Carmel. The people at Mount Carmel were like family to her. She enjoyed the simple life and a "natural" lifestyle. At Mount Carmel, she had the religious atmosphere she longed for.
On April 19, 1993, she tragically died after a standoff between the FBI and her friends that stood up for their home and what they believed.
